Doesn't this fat blob have enough with bush's war? Does he have to start his own?
On Sunday's [6 October 2002] CBS-TV's "60 Minutes" the 'not-so-reverend' Falwell labelled the founder of Islam a terrorist and labeled him 'a violent man, a man of war', setting off demonstrations in India's Jammu and Kashmir state resulting in 5 deaths and 47 injuries. The demonstrators attacked each other with clubs, stones and knives among gunshots by the police.

Demonstrtions also occurred at CBS Headquarters in New York City, as CBS was blamed for airing the blob's comments.

The All Party Hurriyat Conference is claimed to have said that Falwell's remarks are a war against humanity and that Christians are the real terrorists. They further accused them of having wreaked havoc in Vietnam, killed innocent Iraquis and are responsible for killings in Palestine. Chief Muslim cleric Mirwaiz Omar Farooq said those statements show Falwell's bigotry and ignorance and inflame outrage in the world's second largest religion.

Are Falwell and his religious right justified to make any statements about any other religion being violent or terrorist? Be that as it may, but he only needs to look at the history of what he calls a 'peaceful religion', and see how many killings they, the Christians, are responsible for. Think 'Spanish Inquisition'.

“You wrote an approving piece recently about a book called ‘Unveiling Islam,’” Simon said to Falwell. “And you — the authors of that book wrote, ‘The Muslim who commits acts of violence in jihad does so with the approval of Mohammed.’ Do you believe that?

“I do,” Falwell answered. “I think Mohammed was a terrorist. He - I read enough of the history of his life written by both Muslims and – and - non-Muslims, that he was a - a violent man, a man of war.”

“So, in the same way that Moses provided the ultimate example for the Jews and same way that Jesus provided the ultimate example for Christians, Mohammed provided the ultimate example for Muslims and he was a terrorist?” Simon responded.

“In my opinion,” Falwell answered. “And I do believe that - Jesus set the example for love, as did Moses. And I think that Mohammed set an opposite example.”

13 October 2002 Follow-up.
After all the turmoil he has caused throughout the world he issued an apology. Actually it's something he calls an apology, but it doesn't seem like that was what it was. He said: he did not mean any disrespect to any 'sincere, law-abiding Muslim."
After CBS (60 Minutes 10/12/02) asked him if he was sorry that he made that statement, his reply was that he was sorry that CBS put that statement on the air."

What a slime-bag.
