The artificial Timetable
Senators Jack Read (D-RI) and Richard Shelby (R-AL) appeared on Jim Lehrer's News Hour tonight, and Shelby made this statement, frequently also made by many other Republicans.

Let's give them [the bushies] a chance for seven to eight months, referring to Bush's surge or augmentation, as Condoleezza Rice calls it.

No one ever follows up with questions:

1. Isn't that the same as required in the Supplemental Spending Bill?

2. Why does no one follow up with "what do we do after that?

O'Reilly, vociferously against a time table, repeated the same statement as Senator Shelby.

Doesn't the spendng bill give them more than six or seven or eight months?

WHAT ARE THESE FOOLS COMPLAINING ABOUT?

Democrats are offering more than what Bush asks: Money and 12 months - for one last chance
