It is unbelievable what these SOBs have accomplished in just six years, which has taken this country 230 years to accomplish. These SOBs, that is the least term one can use to describe these critters have re-interpreted the Constitution to mean that the citizens never really had the right of habeas corpus because it is not positively granted in the Constitution, but states that "The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it." These SOBs take the position that it cannot be taken away because the Constitution does not grant it to you. By the same interpretation we have the First Amendment which states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Or the Fourth Amendment "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." The SOBs could, or perhaps already do, claim that citizens do not have the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, because it does not specifically grant them, only prohibits taking them away, if somehow magically you had acquired those rights. How does one acquire those rights? Personally granted to each chosen by King George or his father above?
