KISS MY RED, WHITE, AND BLUE A$$, You friggin' socialist BASTARDS ....... why don't you get a clue??? I'm not a fan of  Bush, O'Reilly, Hannity, or (God forbid) Rush. I AM a patriotic American, with pride and values. I am a so-called "Independent" ... leaning neither right nor left. Some of the crap you post helps me have a better understanding of just what the liberal (socialist) left is doing in this country ... Thanks to you :

-- Our high school graduates can no longer read or write (let alone do math or science). High school tests are now geared to be "fair", so as to allow EVERYONE to graduate (failure is now deamed too traumatizing to students), regardless of their aptitude ... hence ....

-- Our college graduates are totally lost, once they are released into the "real world" because half of them are clueless in basic math, science, reading, geography, etc., etc. If asked, 85% wouldn't have a clue where Idaho is, what the square root of 16 is, or what the composition of water is.

-- Our children have grown up to be obese, lazy, slobs. Physical competition is all but eliminated, because someone will lose (losing at competiton is now deamed too traumatizing to students) . ;-(

-- Our military, especially recruiters, are EVIL. They are no longer allowed on high school campuses, or college campuses. (maybe if we all just have a "global hug", the taliban and al qaeda will like us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) ??????????????????????

-- Forcing homosexuality down this country's (and our children's) throats. The vast majority of heterosexual folks don't go around bragging/professing/discussing their sexual preference ......... why do homosexuals feel the need to "share their bedroom" with me ???? just shut the f*ck up, and do what you want to do.

Honestly, you folks scare the sh!t out of me.
To begin with, if you are living in a red state, move to a blue one. If you already live in a blue state, you have only yourself to blame for your poor education.
If that doesn't work, call your Congressman. Republicans have been in control of Congress for the last 12 years Bush has cut spending for schools and given the money to the rich. Try to get some of that back from them.
Military should not recruit at High Schools. 16-18 year olds are too easily swayed to the excitement of life away at home, and given a gun to go shoot someone. Teens think of themselves as indestructible and not yet adult enough to make those decisions. Let them go to the downtown recruiters, they may repent on their way there. If Republicans learned to look at themselves in a double mirror, maybe there wouldn't have been an al qaeda, who's original purpose for existence is to get America out of the Middle East and other Islamic countries.
Who has shared their bedroom with you? Why should homosexuals not be allowed to admit to their sexuality and discuss it. Heterosexuals do it continually, talking about their wife, their children, last night's conquest, walking streets holding hands, kissing in public. Any gay demonstrations you see are provoked by the religious freaks trying to shove their religious views down everyone's throat. Gay is generic, not learned, and same-sex marriage hurts no one, except the religious hate groups like the FRC run by Tony Perkins.
I hope there is not too much to be scared out of you, it could get messy. And do it at home.
Seeing Red, Feeling Blue [browse]
By Andy Arthur, VP Client Services, MRI

In the world of market research, the Presidential election cycle is a long-anticipated opportunity to put theory into practice and, in some cases, to steal the show. In that spirit, the 1996 election famously ingrained "soccer moms" into the collective consciousness and the 2000 and 2004 elections hammered home the idea that there are two types of voters: Red and Blue. One group is rural, plain-speaking and right-leaning, preferring the Republicans; the other is urban, intellectual and left-leaning, favoring Democrats. Using respondent-level data from the 2004 Fall MRI study, we set out to explore if the Red/Blue split - particularly the much touted "value" divide - is as real as the media and exit polls suggested.

Strictly speaking, the designation of Red or Blue is done by state. Everyone who lives in a state that went for Bush is Red (even those people in a Bush state who voted for Kerry), and everyone in a state that went for Kerry is Blue. By scoring each of its nearly 26,000 respondents as Red or Blue based on their state of residency, MRI was able to tabulate "Red Staters" and "Blue Staters" against its vast single-source repository of demographic, media, psychographic and product usage data.

Scratching the Surface
A demographic comparison of the Red and Blue populations in the MRI study confirms what we already know: Blue Staters are concentrated heavily in the largest urban areas. Nearly 55% of all Blue Staters live in the top ten markets, as opposed to only 31.5% of the general population.

Several other demographic differences seem to emanate from that urban skew. Generally, the larger an urban area, the higher the salaries and cost of living. Indeed, Blue Staters have a median household income of $58,254, 28% higher than the Red state median HHI of $45,502. Because income and education are considered to be related, it makes sense that Blue Staters also have higher education levels: whereas Red Staters are 13% more likely than the general population to be high school drop-outs, Blue Staters are 15% more likely than the general population to earn a 4-year degree, and 19% more likely to earn a post-graduate degree. (Emphasis mine)

Other demographic characteristics provide less contrast. Red Staters have a median age of 44.8, only 1.5 years older, on average, than Blue Staters. Blue-state households are only 2% more likely to include children. Such ambiguous results reflect the inherent limitations of the Red State/Blue State split.
Considering that all states are purple to an extent (there are no pure blue and red states) you can draw the conclusion that the infusion of Republicans into a blue state would lower their intellect level, and infusing red states with Democrats would improve the lot of the red staters.
