The segment starts with a new ad by democrats.com which shows bush in the State of the Union message saying that 'Saddam recently sought significant quantities of uranium [pause] from Africa'. Hannity introduced the ad as 'Democrats are once again accusing bush of misleading you, the American people ....'
Everytime I listen to this I come away with the impression that some republicans are a bunch of idiots, assuming Hannity and Reagan are representative. But you listen for yourself.

I find this conversation which was aired over FoxNews on 21 July 2003 an Hannity&Colmes very disturbing. The 4 participants were Sean Hannity, the loudmouth, uncouth, disinformation spewing republican zealot, Alan Colmes the reasonable factual partner, Michael Reagan, Fox News Contributor* and Ann Lewis of the DNC Womens Vote Center who speaks very concise and intelligently.

What I find most troubling is the manner in which Hannity speaks, outshouting his partner and his guests who disagree with him. Furthermore he keeps bringing up Bill Clinton, categorically calling him a liar because in 1998 he made the claims that were repeated by bush recently, and since bush's claims have been shown to be lies, he calls Mr. Clinton a liar. Putting the proverbial cart before the horse. Bill Clinton bombed certain targets in Iraq which were identified by his intelligence as being locations where wmds may be stored, Hannity equates that with bush invading the country
As far as I know no one questioned the veracity of the Clinton intelligence, and Mr. Clinton recently stated that he really has no idea whether the missile strike accomplished its purpose, or to what degree.

Has Hannity ever stopped to think, let me take that back, he doesn't think properly, to borrow Mr. Mandela's words used to describe bush.

How can Hannity imply that if 4 years earlier in 1998, there were wmds, that they would still have to be there in 2002, notwithstanding the fact that Mr. Clinton struck the suspected locations?

Then he accuses Mr. Clinton of 'murdering' innocent people when one of the missiles struck an aspirin factory. These are Hannity's words. How many innocent people lost their lives when bush invaded Iraq? Or doesn't that count because 25 million people are now free, as Hannity defines free.

The next thing that is very irritating is his assertion that british intelligence was correct and that Tony Blair stands by it. I did not hear Mr. Blair state that the [intelligence] information was correct and truthful, what he said was that his intelligence was genuine. See the clip here >>>>>
His words: '.... that the british intelligence that we had, [long pause- to formulate exactly how he wanted it to come across] we believe is genuine, we stand by that intelligence ....' Mr. Blair goes on and states that to negate any notions that the intelligence was some invention, that in the 1980's he was sure that Iraq purchased some 270 tons of uranium. Good Grief....that was 22 years ago. Some 5-8 years ago Milosevic was killing people in Kosovo. Should we go and bomb them now based on 1998 intelligence?

I find this troubling, because I am assuming that FoxNews, under their slogan 'news you can trust' and 'fair and balanced' will convince viewers that what is presented is factual, whereas all it is is a continuation of the bush song and dance, trying to justify his illegal war on Iraq. I hope I'm wrong, but I hope that people who hear and see Hannity, especially for the first time, will look through him, and be smart enough to realize what a bunch of bovine scat Hannity is dishing out.

* Fox News Contributor sounds to be someone who contributes 'news' to the Fox channel. Foxnews contributor would be someone who contributes just about anything to the Fox channel. Michael Reagan certainly does not contribute any news, just hogwash, so he should properly be identified as a Foxnews Contributor, not Fox News...
