| Back in September or October 2002 I sent Alan Colmes an email wherein I called him a wimp. I was not being malicious, but I felt that he too often let Hannity dominate the flow of the show. Alan appeared too ......., whereas Hannity had progressed from assertive to aggressive. I suggested to Alan that he should become more assertive. I am not saying that my email caused a change in him, or that he even read my email, but either because of it or by mere coincidence he did become more assertive by the time November rolled around. I fired off another email in December commending him for his 'new' personality. A similar aura covered the entire show, guests seemed easily intimidated by the raucous, bombastic, boisterous, belligerent Hannity, who is totally lacking in diplomatic skills, except when it comes to the nauseous, sickening back-slapping among fellow republicans. Eventually things started to change. I am not sure whether Alan's change encouraged guests to change. Charles Rangel, forever the amicable diplomat, now fires back at Hannity, recently even suggested that he may have missed taking his medication. Hannity made it a point to object to that. I say 'Right On, Charlie!' Other guests are also starting to slug it out with Hannity. Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich and Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.) come to mind, but they are truly gentlemen, and still being too nice for my taste to someone who is not.. Today there was New Jersey Congressman Bill Pascrell .I congratulate him. He put on the gloves and slugged it out with Hannity, winning every round. Hannity looked definitetly annoyed at the end. I actually cheered for the Congressman. Would it be too much to hope that someday Hannity will wake up and realize that there are better things to look at than staring up the bush's colon. |

| Incidentally, this is the same Hannity who thinks it's perfectly OK for some burly, (approx. 220lbs) veteran cop to pick up a handcuffed (behind his back), semi-conscious 16 year old teenager, about 120 lbs soaking wet, slam his head unto the trunk of a police car, and slug him in his face several times. Hannity apparently can't distinguish the front of a car from the back. I am not talking Studebaker either. There just is no excuse for that, no matter what the cop said provoked him. Once a suspect is in custody, under control, there is no excuse for violence. Period. I am glad to see that the cop will be retried after a hung jury at 7:5 for conviction. |
